There's a bit of a lull in Manchester. The hype has drained away. It's not very often that an unsigned band appear on these pages as the main feature, but Oasis deserve it. Oasis have only existed for six months and yet they've managed to be the talk of the A & R circuit, and can pull loads of local heroes to their gigs. Manchester isn't hip at the moment. Oasis know things are quiet, but use it to their advantage.
Noel says their music is "...not pop, not rock but maybe somewhere in between, maybe Pork?"
It talks about Manchester being dull and quiet, quite the opposite to the opinion it now has in the UK as the central clubbing capital of England.
